In the realm of Candyland, one can find rainbow cotton candy clouds floating above, chocolate mountains with slopes made of ice cream, and even chocolate volcanoes that ooze hot chocolate into the lava fields below.
Flowing through this magical landscape are blue raspberry rivers and waterfalls cascading down the chocolate mountains. The multicolored biome features areas of green, pink, and white, adorned with colorful, lentil-shaped candy, lemon drops, and fluffy marshmallows. Candy cane and lollipop trees dot the landscape, while licorice vines twist around the paths, creating a whimsical atmosphere.
At the border of Candyland lies the Enchanted Forest, where rainbow unicorns gracefully travel back and forth between Candyland and the Enchanted Forest on shimmering rainbows. This adds an extra layer of magic to the already enchanting realm.
Candyland is home to a grand castle, a charming cafe, and farms that grow unique sweets like lentil-shaped candy, candy swirls, and lemon drops. The houses in this magical place are made of gingerbread with peppermint fences. Backyards feature trees of lollipops, gumdrops, and candy canes, alongside various candies. A special cupcake village adds to the wonder, with homes built entirely from cupcakes. The gingerbread houses and candy cane street lights have remained unchanged for years, preserving the land’s timeless charm.
Our Candy Shop sits in the center of Candyland, near the town square, surrounded by a vast candy garden that supplies both the shop and the movie theater’s concession stand. Just a short walk from the bustling theater, this magical spot is full of color and excitement, drawing both locals and tourists alike. It stands as the biggest candy store in all of Candyland.
The town square also houses a magical apothecary where Anise and Coco, the Candyland Candy Shop Shopkeepers, often buy magical potions and candy amulets. These items allow them to go through hidden portals to visit Earth and other realms for trade and travel. Some potions make candy plants grow quickly or enormously. At the garden shop, Anise and Coco buy candy seeds like donut, lemon drop, and peppermint to plant in the Candy Shop garden. There’s even a furniture store selling giant donut pillows.
The farmers market brings together sellers from Candyland, the Enchanted Forest, Earth, and beyond. Here, Anise and Coco buy not only candy but also magical items for their Candy Shop,
Anise, the Candy Shopkeeper, took over the Reel Candy Shop from Taffy, who owned it before. Anise started working at the Reel Candy Shop as a young girl, doing simple jobs like cleaning counters and sweeping floors.
As Anise got older, she learned more about making candy. She spent years mastering the art of sweets. Back then, Fudge, Bon-Bons, Ribbons, and Stained Glass Rock Candy were the most popular treats, and she made and sold lots of them.
Taffy generously allowed Anise to use leftover ingredients to earn extra money. She crafted and sold candies Taffy taught her to make, offering them to friends, family, and neighbors. From her teenage years, Anise showed an entrepreneurial spirit, creating and selling sweets for various occasions. She expanded her reach to the farmers market before eventually acquiring the Reel Candy Shop.
Taffy, having no family or children, bequeathed the Reel Candy Shop to Anise in his will. She promised to continue making and selling his candies, and Taffy was confident in her ability to carry on the tradition. True to her word, Anise kept her promise. Along with the shop, she inherited recipes for Fudge, Bon-Bons, Ribbons, and Stained Glass Rock Candy. After taking over, Anise first sold Chocolate Bark and Rock Candy.
In the early days of her ownership, Anise brought her sister, Coco, on board as co-owner of the Candy Shop. Together, they continued making the original candies while expanding their offerings to include Confetti Lollipops, Rainbow Fudge, Butterscotch, and a variety of other sweets.
Inspired by her travels to Flower Land, Anise introduced Candy Bouquets to their shop. The flower festival and bouquets she saw there sparked the idea to create candy versions of flower arrangements. These Candy Bouquets were sold alongside their other confections at the Enchanted Forest Outpost.
Flower Land is a vibrant place with endless hills and valleys of blooms. Anise visited during the annual First Blooms Flower Festival to sell their candies. The festival featured a flower parade with floats adorned in floral designs depicting rainbows, circuses, and garden tea parties. Shops sold various flower-themed goods, and the event included the crowning of a Flower Queen and Princesses.
During her time selling sweets at the Enchanted Forest Outpost, Anise found love and started a family. She and her husband welcomed two children, Carmella and Henry, who later assisted in the shop alongside their mother and aunt. As business boomed, they expanded their workforce. Candy production soared, and their treats became available in various Candyland stores.
The Reel Candy Shop grew to include a cafe, a movie theater concession stand and a mobile candy cart for special events around town. Anise and Coco maintained candy-making operations at their original location.
Years later, the sisters acquired a candy factory and shop in the Enchanted Forest. This new facility produced Fairy Candy, Chocolate Bark, Confetti Lollipops, Rainbow Fudge, and Butterscotch. The Enchanted Forest store showcased popular candies from both Candyland and the local area.
Since its inception, the Reel Candy Shop has upheld values of tradition, quality, and craftsmanship. To this day, the confections are crafted using the same methods employed during Taffy’s tenure.
